Nigeria international Semi Ajayi is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion at the end of the 2024/25 season, bringing his six-year stay at the Hawthorns to an end.

The centre-back’s contract is due to expire next summer, and presently, there are no ongoing talks of extending his deal.
ÂAjayi, 31, has struggled with recurrent hamstring issues this season, limiting him to just 14 appearances out of West Brom’s 44 matches.
ÂHis injury woes have made it difficult for him to maintain a regular spot in Carlos Corberán’s side, and he is currently sidelined once again as he works on regaining full fitness.
ÂSince joining the Baggies from Rotherham United in 2019, Ajayi has become a familiar face, making 176 appearances for the club and scoring 12 goals in 169 league matches.
ÂHe played a key role in their 2019/20 promotion to the Premier League but has found minutes harder to come by in recent times.
ÂWest Brom’s promotion hopes this season appear slim, as they currently sit six points outside the playoff positions with only two games remaining.
ÂWith clubs like Leeds United and Burnley already securing a return to the Premier League, there’s speculation that one of the newly promoted sides could offer Ajayi a lifeline back to top-flight football.
