AC Milan coach Sergio Conceiçao has shared his thoughts on the performances of key English players in his squad, singling out Kyle Walker for praise while remaining non-committal about Fikayo Tomori’s playing time.

Speaking ahead of Milan’s crucial Serie A showdown against Napoli, Conceiçao acknowledged Walker’s impact at the club and expressed hope that the Manchester City loanee would continue his impressive form until the end of the season.

“Walker has settled in well. He has a lot of experience, both on and off the pitch, and has done everything asked of him,” Conceiçao said in an interview with Milannews.

“He is a fantastic professional, and I hope he continues like this because he is an important part of our defensive structure.”

The Portuguese tactician also discussed Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who recently returned from injury, emphasizing his versatility and key contributions to the team.

“Loftus-Cheek is an important player with impressive numbers from last season,” Conceiçao said.

“He can play as an attacking midfielder or in a box-to-box role, depending on what the team needs at any given moment.”

However, when asked about Fikayo Tomori’s reduced playing time, the Milan boss avoided making any guarantees about increased minutes for the English defender.

“It depends on his form. I have great confidence in all our central defenders, and I will make my selections based on what I see in training and during matches,” Conceiçao stated.

Tomori, who has been a key figure for Milan in previous seasons, has found himself on the fringes in recent games, sparking discussions among fans and analysts about his role in the squad.

Milan currently sit ninth in the Serie A standings, six points behind fourth-placed Bologna, making their upcoming matches crucial in the race for European qualification.

With the season entering a decisive phase, Walker’s form, Loftus-Cheek’s adaptability, and Tomori’s fight for game time will all play a part in Milan’s push for a strong finish.
